The House System
In addition to a strong sense of identity is one of responsibility, with our Houses seeking to uphold School Values, support our community and younger student members, and engage in acts of Service through our House system.
The House System
The Senior Schools have four Houses, and every Senior School student and staff member takes great pride in his or her House. Our Houses, as identified by our students, are: Red Tigers, Silver Wolves, Black Pandas, and Blue Whales.
The House System permeates everything else that we do in the Senior Schools. We hold weekly House Meetings and often compete during our weekly Assembly. Belonging to a House provides Senior students with a sense of excitement and identity by providing them with a range of fun events, competitions, and activities throughout the year. These include academic games and contests, musical performances, the Movember Charity Fair, a school uniform fashion show, the House Chant Battle, e-sports games, and a sports-themed carnival, among other affairs.
In addition to a strong sense of identity is one of responsibility, with our Houses seeking to uphold School Values, support our community and younger student members, and engage in acts of Service through our House system. It is one of the many ways we seek to build compassionate global citizens and provides many leadership opportunities for our students as they step into their upper years at BMH.
